The First Ten Days!
Hello all!
On the first day of Christmas ( I had to say it (: ) I filled the food collection box in my dorm. The food goes to Prism Food Shelves in Minneapolis.
Then on December 2nd I took dollar stuffed animals to the St. Paul Police Station. These stuffed animals will be put in the squad cars of officers or in first response vehicles so when they get to a situation where there are children. Sometimes kids just need something to hold.
December 3rd I dropped toys to Ronald McDonald House. Mostly dollar aisle items, these items will be put in the play room there. I also included to-go play packs I found in the dollar aisle so that when kids go to long days of treatment ans testing they have some thing to do in the waiting rooms.
December 4th I registered for Adopt a US Soldier. I received my soldier assignment today and we started emailing. It feels good to know that I am helping someone who has giving there all for our country.
December 5th I wanted to give someone a little surprise. I bought $6 in scratch offs and taped them to a gas pump.
On December 6th I had a 12 days of Christmas present delivered to my former kindergarten teacher who I have always bee close with. This is the first year in 4 years that I have not been helping in her classroom
Nothing goes better with a movie then popcorn, so on the 7th I taped 2 bags of microwavable popcorn to a Redbox machine.
December 8th I brought 5 'new family' gift to Allina Health Neonatal Center. I loved putting these together! They included 1 tie baby blanket, 1 onesie, 1 bottle, 7 diapers, 1 mini baby powder, and 1 small pack of wipes.
Through a snow storm, December 9th I drove across town to deliver hats and gloves to Anne's Place, a shelter for women and children.

Today I made another food donation to the Ain Dah Yung Center, a healing center for American Indian youth and their families.
So far this has been extremely rewarding. Eventually I will do individual posts on my favorite causes and how to's.

Hello!
So, if you haven't noticed, there is only 25 days until Christmas. Being the Christmas fanatic that I am, this is very exciting for me. But, now that I am at college and not living at home with my parents Christmas seems different. This is not necessarily a bad thing though. I just decided that I need my own way to celebrate the Christmas season. I got the idea of doing Random Acts of Christmas Kindness while on Pinterest (follow me). I absolutely love doing things for other people, so this seemed like a good way to spread Christmas cheer! Follow his blog to watch as Random Acts of Christmas Kindness journey unfolds.
